Notes:
Shows the Bank of Pennsylvania being taken down. The Classical Revival-style building was designed by prominent architect Benjamin Latrobe and stood on 2nd Street above Walnut from 1804 until 1867. Shows workers resting among the Ionic columns which had supported the roof of the portico. Also shows posters displayed on the wood panel fencing surrounding the worksite.
