Halftone reproduction of an illustration depicting the third home of the United States Mint. Nearly a block long, the building has a Roman Temple facade with massive Ionic columns above the entranceway. The landmark building was designed by James Knox Taylor, a supervisory architect for many Federal and Government buildings. The Mint operated here from 1901 to 1969. The Community College of Philadelphia acquired the premises in 1973.
