Depicts the north facade of the Second Bank of the United States, facing Chestnut Street. This Greek revival masterpiece by William Strickland was completed in 1824 for the United States Bank of Philadelphia - the nation's Central Bank. Both the north and south facades are built of Pennsylvania Blue Marble, and feature a set of steps leading up to a main level platform on top of which sit eight Doric columns.
Engraving also shows people in front of the building engaged in a variety of activities.

Depicts the financial institution with people outside and a horse-drawn coach drawn up in front of the bank's entrance.

Halftone reproduction of a photograph showing the building which was home to The Western Savings Fund Society. Completed in 1887, the building was designed by notable architect James H. Windrim. The facade underwent alterations in 1902 and 1909 by Furness & Evans Co.
