Shows a large group of men, women, and children posing in front of the Model Coffee House on 4th Street below Market Street. The Model Coffee House was one of several establishments set up by the temperance movement in the city during the 19th Century, to provide food and refreshment for the working classes at reasonable prices, in an alcohol-free envireonment. Weekly prayer and temperance meetings were offered at some locations.
