Halftone reproduction of of the photograph showing the building on north 22nd Street which housed the Woman's Hospital. Founded in 1861, the hospital provided clinical facilities for students from the Woman's Medical College of Pennsylvania. It was also the first known chartered school for nursing in the nation. The facility closed in 1964 following its merger with the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
