Item 1, top: Caption reads, "Cherry-tree at Pennsbury, Planted By Wm. Penn." William Penn built a summer home called Pennsbury Manor, near Morrisville, PA, in 1683, but only lived there a few years, This publication maintains that Penn planted a cherry tree at Pennsbury before moving to his town residence in Philadelphia. Reproduction of an engraving for an unidentified newspaper, 12.5 x 14.5 cm, undated.
Item 2, bottom: Caption reads, "Tacony, as Seen From the Delaware." Image shows a riverscape view of fishermen in boats on the Delaware River and the significant development of Tacony along the coast. Reproduction of an engraving by William B.
