Original sketch in pen and ink of a stone arch bridge spanning the shallow waters of a creek. A large boulder sits in the right foreground, partly obscuring the view of a wooden shed. Beyond the bridge a road rises up into the distance separating two clusters of buildings, each surrounded by trees and fields. Property boundaries are marked off by two long rail fences, one, a colonial split-rail fence. A stone wall borders the road from the gently sloping bank of the creek.
