Depicts the south side of Arch Street looking west from 7th Street. Awnings provide shade on the sidewalk to shoppers on this commercial section of the city. Carriages and carts vie with the horsecars on the street. Flags fly above many buildings, and an ornamental eagle adorns the top of the Gutekunst Galleries, the store owned by the notable Philadelphia photographer.
