Item 1, entire page: Image of Central High School, located on the SE corner of Broad & Green Streets. The all-male public school was established in 1836, but the original building was at Juniper & Market Streets. The building in this photograph was the school's second location, and was used from 1854-1900, and later demolished (date unknown). The school finally admitted female sturdents in 1983, after 8 years of legal challenges. Cyanotype, 20x 25 cm, undated.
