Notes:
Shows the newly constructed bridge spanning the Schuylkill River at Market Street in 1876. Like its predecessor, which burned down the year before, this bridge was built of wood and was used for railroad traffic. It was soon replaced by an iron cantilever bridge in 1888. Also shows a coal wharf belonging to H. C. Cook.
