Illustration depicting the historic inn of the Wissahickon Valley. Shows a coach being led by horses past the inn on Forbidden Drive. The sign above the porch indicates John Hentz as the innkeeper. The stone arch bridge, which spans the Wissahickon Creek, is shown in the far distance beyond the trees. The hotel was built 1850-51 by Edward Rinker, who had rented three acres of land on the creek from Thomas Livezey.
