Notes: "Opened in 1882, the Bellevue soon became popular as a meeting place for socialites and fashionable clubs. It later merged with the Stratford. In 1904, only 19 hours after the Bellevue's ceremonious closing, the Bellevue-Stratford opened across Walnut Street on the site of the old Stratford."--OPEP, p. [177].
Notes: The building on a street corner. Union League building next door. On street are people, carts, horses, and a trolley car.
