Depicts the Pennsylvania Railroad freight station at Dock Street at Delaware Avenue. Most of the railroad's freight business was relocated to the Washington Avenue depot in the 1880s.

Item pdcc01000, bottom right [image dimensions 8.0 cm x 7.7 cm]:
Shows a horse-drawn trolley in front of the depot in West Philadelphia. Incorporated in 1857, the West Philadelphia Passenger Railway Company was the second street railway to be chartered in Philadelphia. It ran from 3rd Street along Market to its depot at Haverford Avenue. In the 1890s electric trolleys were replacing horses on the tracks.
