Reproduction of pen-and-ink sketch by Frank Taylor of the Perot steam engine. Built by Thomas Holloway, in 1819, the engine was in constant use at Perot's Malt House for over fifty years.

Clipped from The City of Philadelphia as it appears in the year 1894.

Clipping from The Philadelphia Times newspaper illustrating the last horsecar in service in Philadelphia. It ran on the Callowhill street line until January 15, 1897. Electrified trolleys began to replace the horsecars in the latter half of the Nineteenth Century.
