Clipping from Frank Leslie's Illistrated Newspaper shows a scene from the National Union Convention held on August 14th, 15th and 16th, 1866. In order to accomodate the thousands of delegates and attendees from around the country, a large wooden building - the Wigwam - was constructed on Girard Avenue between 19th and 20th Streets.
