18th C - Torah Scroll Vellum Manuscript Fragment
This scroll fragment features the book of Leviticus 4:33-9:12 handwritten in Hebrew on what is believed to be deer parchment. The scroll is approximately 350 years old and is said to originate from Spain. Until today, the Torah, which contains the five books of Moses, continues to be used in scroll format if it is used for liturgical purposes.
