The article is about the successes of four Philadelphia housing projects, built between the 1930s-1940s: Hillcreek, at 510 Adams Avenue; the James Weldon Johnson Homes, at 25th & Norris Streets; the Tasker Homes, at 31st & Morris Streets; and the Richard Allen Homes, at 9th & Poplar Streets. Two images show exterior views ("before and after") of the Johnson Homes location; the third image shows residents gardening and playing outside their Johnson home. Text and reproductions of three15 x 33.4 cm, undated. photographs for an unidentified newspaper, 15 x 34 cm, c. 1947.
