The website American Rhetoric has compiled a list of what it deems the top 100 American speeches , all of which can be freely accessed in multiple formats, including MP3. At the number one spot is Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream " speech, which King delivered on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. on August 28, 1963.
