The Free Library of Philadelphia is expanding its six-day service by adding Saturday hours at seven additional neighborhood library locations. By October 18, 2025, a total of 39 libraries will be open and accessible to the public on Saturdays.
"Libraries are vital community hubs. By expanding our hours, we’re ensuring that more people can access the information, technology, and services they need, when they need them." - Kelly Richards, President and Director, The Free Library of Philadelphia.
This expansion is part of the Free Library’s ongoing commitment to increasing access to vital resources and services. We work to serve our communities by providing greater flexibility for families, students, job seekers, and lifelong learners.
