By Sarah S. RSS Fri, May 29, 2015

Now announcing a great opportunity for rising 5th and 6th graders! The Library of Congress is holding a writing contest entitled “A Book That Shaped Me.” This will encourage children “to reflect on a book that has made a personal impact on their lives.” Finalists of the context have a chance to win gift cards and winners will present their essays at the National Book Festival this fall in Washington DC.

To enter, simply visit your Free Library of Philadelphia location. Participants will submit their one-page essay with a completed entry form available from a librarian. The contest deadline is July 10, 2015.
