The more Walker Evans I see the less impressed I am. He's like a Baseball player from the 19th Century - sure he might have been good, but there wasn't a lot of competition.

Good but disjointed stories. The worst part was enduring Bizarro-speak for pages and pages. The older I get the more painful and annoying reading things that are poorly written becomes (even when, as in this case, it is intentional).

A good but not landmark collection. None of the stories are self contained and the occasional reader can be left with more questions than answers.

Ridiculous but (comically) plausible storytelling is not redeemed by good art or good dialogue. 

Great story - mysterious, intriguing, and not overly explained. A few possible historic anomalies bothered me but they don't detract from regular reading.

The art is ...odd. Characters radically change from page to page. The story itself is typical 'save the planet but don't bother to explain on think' garbage. At least it isn't noticeably politicized.
