Language: Latin
Folio Number: flyleaf
Source: Rare Book Department
Notes: Opening showing last flyleaf and inside of back cover
Notes: This twelfth-century manuscript, which contains two texts written by Augustine of Hippo, originally belonged to the Castilian Abbey of Santa Maria de Benevivere. The last flyleaf of the manuscript, however, contains evidence of a later provenance in a prayer written down by a Brother Hugo in the fifteenth century.
This manuscript is unusual for having its original binding of pigskin over oak boards.
