Join us for a thoughtful conversation about the justice system while kneading pizza dough.
Down North Pizza, located at 28th st and Lehigh Ave, is a mission-driven restaurant which exclusively hires formerly incarcerated individuals. At this event, founder and owner, Muhammad Abdul-Hadi will discuss the vision of the restaurant and the justice system overall. Meanwhile, one of their chefs will demonstrate Down North Pizza's dough making process.
Space is limited and priority will be given to registered attendees. Tickets will be honored up until 5:50 pm, please arrive by 5:45 pm to guarantee your seat. At 5:50 pm, we will fill open seats. Please email kitchen@freelibrary.org for more information.
