Guidelines for Placing a Request Using the Online Interlibrary Loan Service

• Individuals must have a valid Free Library borrowers card with no delinquencies to request materials.
• Requests cannot be honored for materials that the Free Library already owns. This includes material designated for "in-library use" only.
• Patrons may make up to three requests at a time. This limit includes any combination of outstanding requests and materials already on loan.
• Recent books cannot be ordered until April of the year following the publication date. For example, books published in 2020 cannot be ordered until April 2021.
• All materials must be returned to the place of pickup.
• Loan periods will vary according to the policy of the institution that is lending us the material, and is not determined by the Free Library.
