Notes: The flyleaf and the recto of the first folio have been used as places for the notes and markings of the manuscript's numerous previous owners. The recto of the first folio bears a note written in a seventeenth-century hand that tells that the manuscript was purchased in Troyes in 1613. It appears to be in the same hand as the signature "P. Pithou" that was written on the top of the second folio. The manuscript number of Sir Thomas Phillipps (1792-1872), an avid nineteenth-century British manuscript collector, also appears here.
