On March 25th, the Parkway Central Library is hosting its 3rd annual comics and gaming convention for Philadelphia teens! It is a day of art displays, discussion panels, card tournaments, cosplay, and community-building at the Central Library! It will feature teen artists, professional artists and writers, and local businesses, organizations and schools associated with comics and graphic art.
Bring a signed photo release form ! Under 18, parent or guardian signature required.
How can you participate?
Teens will be a large part of running the Comic-Con.
-Teens will lead panel discussions on superheroes and manga.
-Display their original art in the library lobby.
-Compete is a cosplay fashion show.
-Volunteer to make sure event runs smoothly.
The line for the event will start at 9:15 am on Vine Street.
***The first 5, 15 & 25 attendees in line will receive special swag. ***
FAQs
Who may attend?
Much of the event is exclusively for teens, aged 12 through 19. Those accompanying teens of that age are also invited. Displays and events in the library's main lobby, auditorium and second floor departments may be attended and viewed by all ages of registered attendees. Special events in the Children's Department as well.
What should I bring?
Please bring your library card or photo ID. Also, please print and bring a photo release form.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Covered beverages are allowed.
