Philbrick Hall, located on the first floor, is where you can check out items as well as where adults and teens can join the library or deal with fines and other account issues.


The department's collections include current best sellers, DVDs and audiobooks, and the largest fiction collection in the state of Pennsylvania. There are featured sections for fiction by African-American writers; graphic novels, genre fiction including mystery, horror, romance, fantasy, and science fiction, classic fiction, and LGBTQIA+ literature. We also have a large collection of contemporary memoirs   An extensive video collection spans the silent era through recent box office hits as well as documentary films, instructional videos, opera, and foreign language films.
