Philadelphia City ID Pop-Up Mobile

The Philadelphia City ID is more than just an identification card—it is a key that opens doors to city services, opportunities, and a sense of belonging. This optional, government-issued photo ID is accepted by all City services and City-funded programs, helping residents connect with the resources they need.
Anyone who lives in Philadelphia and is age 13 or older is eligible to apply. Staff from the City ID Office will be on site from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Appointments are required and limited to 45 participants.

Your Philadelphia City ID allows you to:
- Access health care services
- Check out books and resources from the Free Library of Philadelphia
- Sign in to schools and City buildings
- Open bank accounts at participating banks and credit unions
- Present valid identification whenever it is required
Cost:
- Five dollars for youth ages 13 to 17
- Ten dollars for adults ages 18 to 64
- Free for adults 65 and older
Payments must be made in cash (exact change only) or by money order made payable to “City of Philadelphia.”
