Art and Tradition: Cultural Workshop on the Toritos de Pucará
Northeast Regional Library
Learn about the origin and meaning of the iconic Toritos de Pucará, ceramic figures from Puno, Peru, that symbolize protection, prosperity, and good fortune in Andean homes. After a brief introduction and a short video about this tradition, participants will paint their own Torito using materials provided by the Consulate General of Peru.
An informational table from the Consulate will also be available, where Peruvian residents in the area can learn more about consular services and access community resources.
This activity is free of charge with prior registration, and all materials are included.
