Collage Club
Art Department at Parkway Central Library
Stop by the Art Department between 12 and 2pm and make a collage. Supplies are available any time the Art Department is open in our community collage station: scissors, glue and lots of paper and magazines donated especially for the purpose of collage making. And did we mention books? Many books that show examples of collage art are always available for loan and library use here. But during Collage Club you'll find yourself working alongside other collage artists.
A note about magazines: Our collage materials are donated; we do not discard magazines in the Art Department. Parkway Central is the library system's research location and so we keep the vast majority of the magazines for the reference collection here for you and many future users to use. Want to read every single issue of a particular magazine that has been published for a hundred years or more? We keep and hold them here for you! Ask your librarian for assistance in retrieving back issues of magazines. Retention policies for old magazines vary by location, especially in neighborhood libraries; ask your librarians!
