Recapturing Black History: Preserving an Inclusive View of Philadelphia History.
Virtual
Amy Jane Cohen is an educator, historian, and author dedicated to helping Philadelphians understand and appreciate the evolution of Black history in their hometown. She is the author of "Black History in the Philadelphia Landscape: Deep Routes, Continuing Legacy", published by Temple University Press.
As Philadelphia neighborhoods have shifted over time, it is all too easy for Black history to be overlooked or forgotten. Cohen will share insights on how to preserve this important history. For more information about this program contact Dick Levinson at LevinsonR@freelibrary.org
