Celebrate Arts and Aging
First Floor Gallery West at Parkway Central Library
In conjunction with Older Americans month in May, Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (PCA) will hold its 23rd annual Celebrate Arts & Aging (CAA) exhibition of artwork by artists 55+ this year. This year’s event features more than 170 paintings, drawings, prints, and photographs created by older adults, highlighting the fact that age is just a number and aging is a period of immense growth and productivity.
Artists 55 and older in the Philadelphia Region submitted original work.
This year’s Celebrate Arts & Aging exhibition will be a hybrid event, offering the chance to connect in person while also reaching a broader virtual audience. The full collection of original artwork by older adult artists has been compiled into a virtual show.
PCA’s Celebrate Arts & Aging includes an in-person exhibit of selected artwork on display for public viewing in May at:
Parkway Central Library, May 6th – 31st
1901 Vine St. First Floor, West Gallery
Public viewing: Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Artists’ reception: Wednesday, May 14 @1:30-3:30 p.m.
