Join us for a conversation on the life and times of Edith "The Kid" Houghton (1912-2013), star shortstop for the Philadelphia Bobbies and the first full-time woman scout in professional baseball, for the Philadelphia Phillies. Rabbi Rebecca T. Alpert will be leading the talk. Rabbi Alpert is a Temple University professor and author of Out of Left Field: Jews and Black Baseball, and Religion and Sports.
