Curators and library staff actively work to acquire special collections materials for the Free Library; sometimes items are purchased, some are donated, and occasionally they are transferred from other libraries or collections. Special Collections’ goal is to have a variety of materials that support the research needs of our patrons.  We invite you to explore the current selections in this rotating exhibition.

Spotlight: Objects from Special Collections is a collaboration of the Children’s Literature Research Collection and the Map Collection, and the Print and Picture Collection. The exhibition is located in the Special Collections Hallway Gallery leading to the Print and Picture Collection on the Second Floor of Parkway Central Library.
