Symbolic Still Life: Miniature Painting Workshop
Art Department at Parkway Central Library
How can objects symbolize larger ideas of identity, revolution, social inequity or environmentalism? While looking at a brief history of the genre, participants will be able to arrange and paint unique miniature compositions that highlight broader themes they find important. Objects provided but participants are welcome to bring personal items.
All supplies will be provided. Free and open to all ages. No registration required.
Brought to the Parkway Central Library by the MINI MUSEUM.
Using the vast resources in the Parkway Central Library’s Art Department, the MINI Museum will be hosting four free, drop-in art making workshops in 2025. Participants will be encouraged to contribute their creations to the museum’s permanent collection and all artworks will be eligible for display in the museum’s upcoming exhibition at Central Library.
