What is Library Giving Day?

There are over 9,000 public libraries nationwide, and each one depends on donations from the communities they serve. Library Giving Day was launched in April 2019 as a one-day annual fundraising event to keep public libraries free and accessible to everyone. This year, Library Giving Day falls on April 3.
