Support the Free Library through the Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program!

By Rebecca G. RSS Thu, August 27, 2020

You already know that the Free Library offers vital early literacy programs, afterschool programming, and world-class civic and cultural programming – but did you know that we are also an approved Educational Improvement Organization in the state of Pennsylvania?

Please consider supporting the Free Library through the Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program, which awards tax credits equal to 75%-90% of a business’ charitable contribution to an approved organization (up to a maximum of $750,000-$900,000 per taxable year). The EITC program incentivizes corporations and individuals to support approved educational enrichment programs, and the Free Library is proud to qualify as an organization that advances EITC program goals.

Your EITC gift will further the Free Library’s mission to advance literacy by supporting educational enrichment programs and materials that supplement the work of the School District of Philadelphia. In the year ahead, as our young people face the additional challenges of remote learning, these services will be even more critical. Our reach in 2020 will be greater than ever before, as we transition many of our materials to digital formats and plan for extended out-of-school services during the academic year to meet the increased needs of students who will be spending fewer hours in the classroom.

In recognition of your EITC contribution, the Free Library will feature your company name and logo in our key communications efforts about our EITC approved programs. To learn more, reach out to Katherine Gulick, Director of Institutional Giving, at gulickk @ freelibrary.org. Thank you for your support!
