Prepare for the U.S. Citizenship Test on Your Computer, Tablet, or Smartphone
By Phil K. Mon, May 4, 2020While U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services are temporarily closed to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you can still prepare for the test using our Learning Express Library electronic resource.
The Learning Express Library is a database that you can access on your computer, tablet, or smartphone with your library card and PIN. This electronic resource helps people improve their academic and career-related skills, and provide preparation for many types of tests, including the U.S. Citizenship Test.
There are practice tests for American history, government, and civics, as well as helpful articles on the process of becoming a U.S. citizen and how and where to get help. There is also a Spanish version of the practice tests.
In addition, if you are trying to obtain a green card in order to work in the United States, Learning Express Library has an electronic book with advice on how to obtain the card. This database also has tutorials for improving writing, grammar, and speaking English; which may be helpful to non-English speakers who are studying for the citizenship test.
You can find this electronic resource and many helpful other resources and databases through our Digital Learning portal.
