Languages and Learning Center Launches Tutoring Program for Adult Learners
By Rachel H. Tue, December 10, 2019The Languages and Learning Center is excited to announce the Free Library of Philadelphia’s first tutoring program for adult learners. We are creating a tutoring program to support the estimated 550,000 Philadelphia adults who desire to secure wage sustaining employment, complete their high school education, learn English, or to simply improve their basic academic and digital skills. The program will begin at Parkway Central Library with the hope of extending throughout the Free Library of Philadelphia system.
From the adult who needs extra assistance with understanding GED Algebra to the grandmother who wants to learn how to read to her grandchildren, the convenience of receiving one-on-one tutoring at their library will help participants to achieve their individual learning goals.
If you are interested in tutoring at the Free Library of Philadelphia, please register for our Open House on January 9, 2020, and complete this form.
If you need a tutor, please fill out this form, and contact the Languages & Learning Center at 215-686-8664 / 215-686-5392 or adultlearning@freelibrary.org.
