Free Library storytimes take place all around the city, and there are options for little learners of all ages! Sometimes there are themes, too! Find something in your neck of the woods and come join us!
Books on Wheels
Free admission to the Rosenbach
For the third year in a row, the Free Library is teaming up with the Rosenbach to offer free admission for families to the museum! Once you step through the museum’s stately front doors, you’ll find a house filled with weird, wacky, and wonderful things that will delight and enchant the entire family. Pick up a copy of the Journey Around the World activity guide, which gives kids the chance to explore places like Egypt, England, and Alaska. Children will have so much fun, they won’t even realize they’re learning about art, culture, and geography!
Building tours and a family-friendly exhibition
There’s something for everyone on our guided building tour of the Parkway Central Library! Explore our grand Beaux-Arts building for free, stopping to appreciate the building’s many collections and services, as well as its unique architecture and history. While you’re here, be sure to stop by Our 5 Senses, a family-friendly, fully interactive exhibition currently on view in the Rare Book Department on the third floor of the building. And guess what? Our tour recently received the 2019 Best Of Philly Award for Best Cultural Tour in the city! Don't miss it!
