‘Twas the weekend before Free Library's Summer Reading Kickoff and all through the city
Children were stirring, eager to jump in to summer activity.
The banner was hung in front of the Parkway Central Library with care,
In hopes that summer readers soon would be there.

Readers of all ages were ready with books and with tablets,
And participating in Summer Reading was a sure bet.
They went to our website to check out the chatter,
And registered online for Summer Reading activities that matter.

Away to their computer or smartphone they did dash,
To view all the titles in our catalog and sign up in a flash.
And what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But our first week of raffle winners for Online Summer Reading are here!
