Hear Wharton professor Zeke Hernandez's views on a most divisive issue and why he says that successful societies welcome newcomers.  Hernandez is the author of the new book, The Truth about Immigration.  The issue of immigration is causing a rhetorical war between those who claim immigrants are villains and those who claim they are victims. But what if both sides are wrong?  Zeke Hernandez provides rigorous data and compelling stories. He'll distill 20 years of research on the topic to explain how immigrants drive innovation, investment, job creation, and national vitality. He'll also set the record straight on hot-button social topics like crime, jobs, and assimilation using an apolitical approach.

Zeke Hernandez is the Max and Bernice Garchik Family Presidential Professor at the Wharton School and author of the award-winning book The Truth About Immigration: Why Successful Societies Welcome Newcomers. His pioneering research linking immigration to investment and economic growth has won multiple prizes, including three emerging scholar awards from the top academic associations in his field. Zeke is one of the highest-rated teachers at Wharton, one of Poets & Quants world's best 40 under 40 business professors, and one of the youngest recipients of a presidential professorship at the University of Pennsylvania. He loves his family, soccer, and meeting people from all over the world
