In conversation with Jason Freeman, producer and editor, author events.

Tom Hanks has played a ping-pong savant, WWII Army ranger, pioneering AIDS activist, toy sheriff, astronaut Jim Lovell, volcano battler, mermaid romancer, Walt Disney, hitman, female baseball team manager, Da Vinci codebreaker, and, of course, David S. Pumpkins, among some of the other most beloved roles in celluloid history. Brimming with characters that are as inventive, funny, and humane as his on-screen creations, Ann Patchett says that Hanks’ New York Times bestselling debut fiction collection, Uncommon Type, “is like finding out that Alice Munro is also the greatest actress of our time.”

Each ticket includes a signed copy of Uncommon Type which you will collect as you enter the venue.
