Get Your War On is David Rees' sardonic online comic strip (and book), which brilliantly deploys every post-9/11 emotion and political stance with a humor that involves the free use of four letter words. What began as a fax that Rees sent to a few friends has become its own website, www.mnftiu.cc, receiving over 25 million hits last year. GYWO has developed a cult following and all of the author's royalties are donated to landmine relief efforts. His new book, My New Fighting Technique is Unstoppable will be published this year.

David Rees (of the Skeleton Killers - also performing at the (215) Festival) and Peter Kuper will talk about their new work and Peter Kuper will present a slideshow! Former professional literary agent and long-time (215) Festival emcee, John Hodgman, will host. This event is FREE! A book signing will immediately follow the presentation.

The (215) Festival, October 8-12, 2003, is an annual explosion of books and music that features writers and musicians in cross-pollinated performances that are held in auditoriums, bars, museums and theaters citywide. One of the Festival's founding partners, the Free Library of Philadelphia is the festival's anchor literary venue. Visit www.215festival.com for more information.
