The Guerrilla Girls are a team of anonymous women artists who set out, in 1985, to make the art world feel ashamed of its bigotry. Well-equipped with an outrageous sense of humor and an arsenal of facts, the Guerrilla Girls began creating posters like: "When sexism and racism are no longer fashionable, what will your art collection be worth?" Wearing gorilla masks in public to disguise their identities, they encourage us all to fight sexism and racism wherever it lies. Their previous books are The Guerrilla Girls' Bedside Companion to the History of Western Art and Confessions of the Guerrilla Girls.
