Ken Burns is the director responsible for illuminating American culture with epic PBS documentaries that include the Emmy Award-winning Baseball, and Christopher Award-winning, Jazz. His landmark film, The Civil War was the highest-rated series in the history of American Public Television and was deemed “heroic” by The Washington Post. It will be re-broadcast this fall on WHYY but the Free Library will have a sneak peek.
