Ann Patchett is the award-winning author of The Patron Saint of Liars, The Magician's Assistant and Taft. Her new novel, Bel Canto is loosely based on the Peruvian hostage crisis of 1996, and won the PEN/Faulkner Award.
Known as the Henry James of our time, Ward Just is the author of a dozen novels, including the PEN/Hemingway finalist, A Dangerous Friend and the National Book Award finalist, Echo House. His latest novel is The Weather in Berlin.
