Patrick J. Buchanan has been a senior advisor to three American presidents and ran twice for the Republican nomination for president (in 1992 and 1996, before he became the Reform Party’s presidential candidate for the hotly contested 2000 election. He is the author of six books including the national best sellers, Right From the Beginning and A Republic, Not an Empire. He is a syndicated columnist and a founding member of three of America’s most watched public affairs shows: NBC’s The McLaughlin Group, and CNN’s The Capital Gang and Crossfire.
