The Corrections, Jonathan Franzen’s third novel, was awarded both the National Book Award and New York Times Editors' Choice Award for 2001. Named as one of the Twenty Writers for the 21st Century by The New Yorker, he is the recipient of the Whiting Writer's Award (1998) and the American Academy's Berlin Prize (2000).
