Serving from 1996 to 2000 as part of the Clinton administration, Madeleine Albright was the first woman to hold the position of United States Secretary of State. Prior to her cabinet post, Albright was the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. Currently a professor at Georgetown University, she is the author of the bestselling books Madam Secretary: A Memoir and The Mighty and the Almighty: Reflections on America, God, and World Affairs.
